Damansara Performing Arts Centre (Malaysia)
The Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) is an organisation that dedicates itself to promoting the arts in Malaysia, through learning, practising, and appreciation. DPAC aims to further enhance public awareness on the importance of art forms that enrich our lives while shaping today’s world. Focusing on dance, DPAC aims to be Malaysia's leading dance space, uniquely dedicated to broadening and raising dance standards in Malaysia through the organising of quality educational programs, and presenting quality programs from both local and international performers.
Through our in-house productions, such as D for Dancing, we aim to cultivate artistic exchanges in professional practices by inviting quality international dance artists for collaborative residencies. Contributing to dance education in Malaysia, DPAC also introduced the Dancer's Training Program to young budding dancers, providing them training in professional practices.
Founder Datin Jane’s vision for DPAC is to reduce the gap and enhance the connection arts audiences and artists have in common. They can be spiritual in nature, greatly improving one’s quality of living. Physically, DPAC has a proscenium theatre, a black box experimental theatre, an indoor multifunctional space and dance studios. All are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. These facilities suit professional practices of different performing arts practitioners in different forms.

Seoul Dance Collection (Korea)

Yokohama Dance Collection (Japan)
In 1996, the Yokohama Dance Collection was started to nurture young choreographers and popularise contemporary dance in Japan. In 2005, its tenth year, the festival shifted its focus to building a market for dance, in order to bring news of Asian choreographers to the wider world. With that transformation, it was re-launched as the Yokohama Dance Collection R. Over the past fifteen years, this annual dance festival has steadily delivered results towards reaching all its goals.
The Festival was restarted as the Yokohama Dance Collection EX in 2011 to set our sights even higher, and to aim, as an established force in the world of dance, to make even greater contributions to the development of the global dance scene.
Exchange, EXplore, EXtension, EXhibition and Expression – through these, the annual Festival attracts people involved in dance from around the world and creates exciting, excellent opportunities to share meaningful experiences together. A positive formula for excellence: that’s EX.
