Off Stage is a nest for the “what ifs” that occur in the experimentation and research stages of a creation process, as artists ruminate on, develop, and test their ideas at an intimate works-in-progress studio sharing.

Off Stage returns this year with its familiar, intimate format of a works-in-progress studio sharing that features Sonia Kwek, Pat Toh and Jozef Chua – three movement practitioners and artists at various junctures of their careers. Joined by local independent artist Chew Shaw En, who lends a curatorial eye and artistic facilitation, the platform is repositioned as a more process-oriented one where the three artists are invited to dig deep into their ideas and explorations. In response, audiences are too invited to openly and generously engage and dialogue with the artists, and to share their thoughts.
For more information on the artists, do check out the “Artists” page.
Only applicable to shows held at Esplanade and selected events held at T.H.E Dance Company’s studio.
