This is a four-day intensive, with 5 hours of technique, improvisation and repertoire classes each day. If you are interested in participating only in certain segments of the intensive, you may purchase separate passes listed on the booking page.
Experience the improvisation-based methodology unique to T.H.E’s practice, “HollowBody”, and be the first to learn the movement repertoire from founding Artistic Director Kuik Swee Boon’s latest creation with T.H.E, set to premiere later this year in October!
“HollowBody” is the culmination of a decade of movement exploration and practice. It seeks an alignment of the mind, body and heart, espousing the body as a vessel that can carry our thoughts, emotions and energy, with the ability to transcend language and logical communication. T.H.E Dance Company believes that all individuals have the innate ability and right to access these tools to foster empathy and dialogue, and have held workshops for participants from Singapore, Malaysia, Latvia, Poland, Italy.
Kuik’s latest work with T.H.E is a creation steeped in the usage of the “HollowBody” methodology. Learning and experiencing the excerpts will give participants a close look at the elements and processes of “HollowBody” being put into practical, performance usage.
