Sharon Fridman

Founder and Artistic Director of Madrid/based Compañia Sharon Fridman, Israel/born Fridman’s dance training is informed by contemporary dance, classical ballet and Israeli folklore. He has performed and created work with prestigious institutions such as the Ido Tadmor Dance Company, Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, Vertigo Dance Company, and Suzanne Dellal Center. Choreographically, he participated in projects including Dance Lines ‘08 under the direction of Wayne McGregor; Choreoroam ‘09 where his solo work toured to Croatia and Italy; and with the Phrasal group. Fridman has received awards for his creations at the Madrid Choreography Competition, the Hannover Choreography Contest, Choreography Contest Burgos/New York, and the Huesca International Theatre and Dance Fair in Spain. More recently, he collaborated with the Paris Quartier d’étè Festival 2012 to create Rizoma, which premiered at the Les Invalides museum.
