Kyunghwa is a choreographer and Art Director of Dance Project Kalon. She graduated from the Department of Dance in Kyunghee University and completed the doctorate program in the Department of Performing Arts in Kyunghee University. Currently an instructor at Deokwon, Kyunghwa has choreographed for numerous festivals, including Seoul Perfoming Arts Festival and Festival of Fukuoka in Japan. Her past achievements include Outstanding Choreography Award in the 1st Young Festival, Best Performance Award in the 19th Kyungbuk Dance Festival and ‘Durichumto’ Award from the Dance Culture Forum in 2012. She was elected as the Young Frontier by the Korean Culture and Arts Committee in 2011.
