Choreographer (Can't look through your eyes, M1 Open Stage 2 + DiverCity)
Swiss-born, Netherlands-based choreographer Katja Grässli has been collaborating with international artists on dance platforms, theatres, and festivals across Europe since 2001. In her works, Katja likes to dive into other worlds to find new interfaces and connections. Under the name of her new foundation, MoveToMeet, she collaborates with the deaf community and creates dance pieces with a cross-over of sign language and dance. Simultaneously, Katja has also started to collaborate with cultural philosopher Marc Colpaert and Malaysian dancer Beh Chin Lau. With the intercultural dance project WhereTwo Seas Meet, they research about impossibilities and possibilities of an intercultural identity. Katja holds a master’s in Choreography, and a bachelor’s in Experimental Dance Theatre from the Fontys Dance Academy, Tilburg in Netherlands. In 2013, her final work was nominated for the Fontys Entree Prize.
