Annamaria Ajmone

Annamaria Ajmone graduated from Università Statale of Milan with Italian Literature, and at Scuola di Arte Drammatica Paolo Grassi with a degree in Dance.

As dancer she has worked for Guilherme Bothelo, Alias company (CH), Ariella Vidach-Aiep (IT/CH), Daniele Ninarello (IT), Santasangre (IT), Muta Imago (IT) and Cristina Kristal Rizzo (IT). In 2016, she performed in Jerome Bel’s Compagnie Compagnie.

As a choreographer she created [In]Quiete, which was selected for premio Equilibrio 2014; Tiny, which won Dnappunti coreografici 2014 and was premiered at RomaEuropa Festival 2015 and at Biennale Danza Festival di Venezia 2016. She also conducted a workshop for Biennale College 2016.

In 2017 she created Mash, a duet in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Marcela Santander Corvalan, To be Banned from Rome with the musician Bienoise. Since 2015 she’s working on an ongoing project titled Arcipelago/Pratiche di abitazioni temporanea, a series of site-specific actions. The project was presented in Italy, France and Usa.

In 2014 she started a collaboration with videomaker Giovanna Cicciari and created Radura, a research based project on moving images and dance.

In January 2016 she won “Best young Italian Performer 2015” for Danza&Danza.
