| Yvonne will be conducting a workshop on Open Source Forms with Improvisation. Open Source Forms work from the simple principle that when our bodies are releasing tension, habitual holding patterns and ways of thinking, we can move more freely, powerfully and articulately. Workshop will include guided poetic imagery as a powerful tool for transformation and involve hands-on partner studies. The use of poetic imagery and music evokes spontaneous movements enabling a creative exploration of technical principles such as multi-direction alignment, suppleness, suspension, economy and autonomy. In this practice, technical growth and creative process are integrated by engaging the imagination and involving the whole self. Participants find themselves moving in ways entirely new for them and in ways of which they may not have imagined themselves capable. 2hrs $30 This class is for Intermediate/Advance dancers. | Artistic Director of the Silesian Dance Theatre, Luminski technique is not limited to bodily movement. His training offer is based on the exploration of principles and craft of a variety of virtues that make his concept of bodily movement function in a theatrical idiom.
