Artistic Director of R.se Dance Company, Kim Dong-kyu is an award-winning choreographer who fuses technique with organic and unique patterns of movement. One of the highlights of his choreography is in presenting movement and form in non-conventional presentations. Awards that Dong-kyu has received include “Best Group Choreography” at the 2014 Korea Dance Awards and “Best Choreography Award” at the Seoul Dance Festival 2014; the “Grand Prize” at the Seoul Dance Festival 2013; the Korea Arts Council’s selection for next generation choreographer to watch in 2011 and 2012, the “Excellence Award” at the Critic’s Choice Festival 2008, amongst others.
