Ruri Mito started studying dance at the age of 5 at The Modern Ballet Institute, Tokyo. Later she studied dance at the Japan Women’s College of Physical Education, Department of Movement Science Dance Studies Major MA(2000-2004).

Her list of awards include:

Tatsumi Hijikata Memorial Award at Odoru.Akita International Dance Festival 2017.

1st Prize, SOLO DANCE CONTEST at Gdańsk Dance Festival, 2017.

MASDANZA Prize, Yokohama Dance Collection EX, 2014.
