Daniel K graduated from Goldsmiths College (London) and holds a Certificate in Choreography from the Laban Centre, and a MA (Distinction) in Solo / Dance / Authorship (SODA) from the Inter-University Centre for Dance. He was an Associate Artist of The Substation (Singapore) between 2005 and 2010, and in 2008, the National Arts Council awarded him the Young Artist Award. His works have toured extensively in Europe and Asia including Edinburgh, Lisbon, Berlin, Vienna, Yokohama, Moscow, Bangkok and Seoul, and include “Q&A” a commission by Singapore Arts Festival 2009, “PIIGS”, co-produced by Nationales Performance Netz (Germany), Maxim Gorki Theatre (Berlin) and workspacebrussels as part of a cultural initiative by the European Commission. An avid pole dancer, he has also created contemporary pole dance works that have featured in Berlin’s Tanz Im August / TanzNacht festivals, and produced by partners such as the Esplanade (Singapore), KobaltWorks (Belgium) and Goethe Institut.
