In the incubatory setting of Co.Lab.Asians, independent artists from different disciplines cross-pollinate new insights, unexpected progressions and alternative modes of approach within their ongoing practices.
Seoul International Dance Festival (SIDance) and M1 CONTACT Festival match-make two captivating artists admired for their potent stage presence. Tackling the complications of building creative affinities over Zoom, Singapore’s Adele Goh and South Korea’s Kwon Hyuk stretch their virtuosic capacities to create a work borne of the pandemic age.
Singled out by Arts Equator as a highlight of Off Stage in 2019, H A S E R returns to the M1 CONTACT Festival for its premiere as a fully realised production. A work that explores the duality of being through recognising the silence in strength, choreographer Syimah Sabtu navigates the fine balance between compensation and negotiation to achieve equilibrium.
H A S E R has received creation and venue support from Dance Nucleus.
Only applicable to shows held at Esplanade and selected events held at T.H.E Dance Company’s studio.
