Marcus Foo

Choreographer (This Is How We'll Meet/Part - M1 Open Stage + DiverCity)


Marcus Foo started his formal dance training in LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore, under the tutelage of Dr. Caren Carino, Ravenna Tucker, and Jaime Redfern. Marcus had the opportunity to perform the works of Rachel Berman, Darryl Thomas, John Mead, Michiyo Tanaka, Jeffrey Tan, and Steve Goh. In 2017, he graduated with a Master’s Degree from the London Contemporary Dance School.

In 2010, he joined T.H.E Second Company, performing in Emerging Choregraphers II, Singapore Writers Festival 2012, and M1 CONTACT Festival 2010-13. Marcus was also involved in the 2014 rework of Kuik Swee Boon’s As It Fades, originally commissioned by Singapore Arts Festival 2011. In 2012, he was invited to perform with MAD Dance Company in New York for their spring season performances. As a choreographer, Marcus has created for liTHE 2013-14, M1 CONTACT Festival 2014, and the site-specific Dance in Situ (June 2017).
