Zhuo Zihao

T.H.E Associate Artist, Choreographer, Dance Artist

A dance veteran in Singapore, Zihao started his career since the beginning of the millennium. He studied contemporary dance at LASALLE College of the Arts in Singapore and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, both under scholarships. With his unique animalistic movements vocabularies, Zihao aims to discover and develop the clarity within one’s self and tries to blend technologies into his personal works to produce immersive experiences for the audience. His most iconic work in 2013, Felt Sense, was such piece which blended 3D projections with live performers. In 2015, Zihao co-produced Dance in Situ, a Site-Specific focused performance platform designed to bring professional creations into the heartlands, catering towards non dance goers. Zihao was a resident artist with Odyssey Dance Theatre between 2000 – 2004 and a founding member of T.H.E Dance Company since 2008. He has performed and toured intensively with T.H.E in all of the company’s repertoires since its establishment. Hence, worked with many renowned artists over the years. In 2012, he was conferred the Young Artist Award (Dance) by Singapore’s National Arts Council. On 1 April 2016, Zihao stepped down as a full-time company dancer to become an independent artist and Associate Artist with T.H.E.
